Thanks to some exterior design tweaks — including new signature lighting, wheel options, and exterior colors — the 2025 Ram 1500 looks better than ever! In addition to an exterior facelift, this new Ram truck upgrades your infotainment setup. Instead of last year’s 8.4-inch touchscreen, this truck comes standard with a 12-inch central touchscreen.

The newly optional 10.3-inch passenger-side screen makes it easy for your favorite passengers to explore music or navigation options. The passenger screen can display the Ram’s camera streams, including a camera that helps you keep an eye on rear-seat passengers. This display can also mirror whatever’s playing on your rear-seat entertainment system!

Also new for 2025 is the new top-trim Tungsten model. The Ram 1500 has long been known for its high-quality cabin materials and comfortable ride, but the Tungsten promises even more luxury, with quilted leather upholstery, massaging front seats, and a 23-speaker Klipsch sound system.

Ram diehards have no doubt already heard that the 2025 truck has replaced the infamous HEMI V8 with the newer Hurricane inline-six. This new twin-turbo engine means more power than ever. A high-output version of the Hurricane i6 supplies an incredible 540 horses. That’s 145 more ponies than the HEMI V8 could provide!

• 3.6L V6 (305 horsepower, 269 lb-ft)
• 3.0L Hurricane twin-turbo inline six-cylinder engine (420 hp, 469 lb-ft)
• High-output 3.0L Hurricane twin-turbo inline six-cylinder engine (540 hp, 521 lb-ft)
• Eight-speed automatic transmission
• Rear-wheel drive or optional four-wheel drive

The 2024 Ram 1500 offers some of the same powertrain features as the newer truck, including the base V6 and its eTorque mild hybrid system. With it, both trucks earn up to 23 mpg combined (20 city/26 highway). Both trucks also feature an eight-speed automatic transmission and optional four-wheel drive.

However, the 2024 Ram 1500’s strongest engine is the iconic HEMI V8. Since it’s discontinued for 2025, now is the best time to get your hands on a new truck featuring this 395-horsepower V8! The same goes for the Ram 1500 TRX trim model and its supercharged V8, which are also discontinued after the 2024 model year.
